CATRIONA BRODRIBB PRINTMAKING
About me:
I began learning about printmaking at the Ruskin School of Drawing, Oxford in the late nineteen seventies, where I fell in love with the alchemy of it. My printmaking tutor had been at SW Hayter's Atelier 17.
I continued with post graduate studies at Wimbledon School of Art (UAL).
I work part time at Oxford Printmakers Co-operative as a technician/manager.
I worked as a part time print technician and variable hours tutor at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College (OCVC-Banbury Campus) for nearly 13 years.
I run printmaking classes at Oxford Printmakers.
I have participated in numerous exhibitions.
I have run many 'outreach' classes, working with all ages and abilities.
I have worked in a consultancy capacity, advising on setting up print studios.
Generally my ideas are derived from things such as text, industrial landscapes, archaeology and still life.
